About Indifferent Tees
Indifferent Tees is an ongoing series of American icons reimagined through disillusionment, nostalgia, humor, and emotional distance.
The work began as a reaction to burnout, performance culture, endless optimism, and the strange feeling of inheriting myths that no longer fully function. Cowboys, astronauts, businessmen, and retro-futurist figures appear throughout the collection, not as heroes, but as symbols in transition. Familiar archetypes carrying uncertainty, exhaustion, irony, and persistence.
The visual language draws from:
- vintage Americana
- propaganda graphics
- pulp illustration
- old signage
- screen printing
- weathered posters
- editorial minimalism
Every piece is designed to feel slightly worn, slightly detached, and emotionally recognizable.
Indifferent Tees sits somewhere between apparel, graphic art, and ongoing visual commentary. The clothing is part of a larger evolving body of work that extends into painting, collage, texture studies, and symbolic storytelling.
Still recognizable.
Just not the same.
